Ramirez homered twice and the Dodgers ended an eight-game losing streak with a 6-2 victory over Dan Haren and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night. “I play the game, go have fun,” said Ramirez, who could become a free agent after this season.

Before Beltran’s homer, the Mets were 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Veteran Matt Stairs joined the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, eager to fill whatever role needed as the defending NL East champs try to make a push back to the playoffs. Stairs was acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays in a trade that wrapped up Saturday. The Blue Jays will receive a player to be named later.
